Celebrating International Men’s Day 2024 with Bus Éireann

Positive2Work Skillnet were delighted to be able to partner with one of our championing members, Bus Éireann, in this years International Men’s Day. This is the very first International Men’s Day to be run in Bus Éireann’s history with over 100 men across the business coming to celebrate.

The theme for this International Men’s Day 2024 was “Men’s Health Champions”. The event showcased the importance of championing Male Role Models and Men’s Health and the important contribution that we all can make to the health and wellbeing of all our male colleagues.

The day was expertly facilitated by Jack Kavanagh, a Health Professional, Health Champion. PJ Gallagher also joined as an inspiring male role model, and opened up about his life journey with humour and honesty.

Events like this today really remind us that the talent, stories, and courage of the people we bring together make all the difference. Thank you to everyone who shared, listened, and participated today. Together, we’re breaking the silence, supporting each other, and driving real change.

Let’s keep the conversation going—because together, we’re stronger.

Well done to Linda Allen for all her hard work in bringing this successful event together! Linda provides so much support and advice to Positive2Work Skillnet and we are delighted to have her on board our Steering Group Skillnet Ireland
